Jackie and Theresa are both passionate about tea, and I've had the pleasure of attending tea parties with both ladies, where they share their vast knowledge of teas with those of us who are just happy to sit and sniff the bags! (You laugh now, but wait till you get your first bag of Sisters Leap tea - you'll know exactly what I mean!!)
At these parties, I have learned so much about tea and how to prepare it. I especially loved learning about rooibos tea and all its wonderful health benefits. There are so many fantastic flavours to choose from, but Chocolate Mint and Masai Chai are definitely two of my favourites, and I love that they are caffeine-free.
Sisters Leap Teas are all high-quality loose-leaf teas, and they come from Canadian importers when possible. Their teas are sourced from within the Ethical Tea Partnership, which ensures sustainable business practices, living standards for workers, and land stewardship commitments.
Sisters Leap comes up with feature blends each season, so be sure to sign up for their mailing list so you can find out all the new items. (Right now they have some fun Hallowe'en blends, and I absolutely love Twice Bitten!) Their Christmas holiday blends come out October 15, and there are lots of favourites from last year as well as some new flavours to try out.

Last year I hosted a tea party and we sampled Egg Nog black tea, Winter Berry tisane, and Pumpkin Pie Chai rooibos tea. All three were hugely popular at my tea party, and Pumpkin Pie Chai was definitely a hot seller for them last season. (It's my kids' favourite!) I always thought I hated black teas, but after sampling the Egg Nog, I was hooked and now I have a cupboard full of black, rooibos, and herbal teas.
This year I sampled Maple Vanilla black tea, Cranberry Pomegranate rooibos, and New Year's Eve rooibos tea. I love my Maple Cream black tea, so I knew Maple Vanilla would be just as delicious. I like to sweeten it with a tiny bit of pure maple syrup instead of sugar, and it really brings out the maple flavour. Cranberry Pomegranate smells so fresh and fruity, and I love that I can give it to my kids without worrying about the caffeine. New Year's Eve is also caffeine-free so it will be a decadent alternative to hot chocolate this season. (Why drink sickeningly sweet cocoa when you can have chocolatey-strawberry goodness that actually has tons of health benefits for you?)

Theresa also sent me a sample gift pack that will be available for the holidays. It contains 25 g of tea (I got Spearmint - yum!) and a beautiful stainless steel strainer. Starting October 15, there will be an assortment of gift packs for $10-$20, which is perfect for teacher gifts, gift exchanges at work, or stocking stuffers. Shipping to Canadian addresses is only $5 (check the website for US shipping info), so this is a great way to get some of your holiday shopping done.
Sisters Leap is generously offering a gift pack of their most popular seasonal items, valued at $30! This offer is open to Canadian addresses only. Here's how you can enter (each time you leave a comment, it's another entry into the contest, and I will randomly pick one of the comments to choose the winner):
- Leave a comment below saying which of their teas you would love to try.
- Leave another comment below if you "like" Sister Leap on Facebook.
