Glenna's Awesome Brownies

These brownies are not for the faint of heart.  These brownies are for people who love rich, chocolatey, ooey-gooey moist brownies.  My friend Glenna got the recipe from a friend, but I'm giving Glenna all the credit for introducing me to these delicious brownies!

GLENNA'S AWESOME BROWNIES
2/3 c. butter
8 squares of semi-sweet chocolate (or 1 and 1/3 c. chocolate chips)
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sour cream or plain yogurt
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. flour
3/4 c. chocolate chips
3/4 c. roasted nuts (optional) - I didn't use any when I made these
1 tbsp. cocoa powder - I didn't use this either

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 7"x11" or 9"x9" pan (I used parchment paper instead). Melt butter in saucepan; add chocolate squares; stir on low heat without boiling until smooth. Stir in sugar. Let cool until just warm. Stir in eggs, vanilla, chocolate chips, nuts (if using) and sour cream. Pour into prepared pan. Bake uncovered 40 minutes. Cover with foil and bake 20 minutes more. Dust with cocoa when room temperature.
Word of warning - you have no idea how rich these brownies are!  These were fairly small pieces, and I should have cut them half that size.  They pack a powerful punch!

There's no mention of when to add the flour. I'm assuming you add it at the same time as the eggs, vanilla, chocolate chips, nuts (if using) and sour cream? These sound very yummy!!

Sorry! Yes, you are correct, the flour goes in with the eggs, vanilla, etc.
